Buttery Cobbler

This is my favorite cobbler recipe; very tasty!

You will need:

  • All Purpose Flour – 2 cups
  • Sugar – 1/3 cup
  • Baking Powder – 1 Tbls.
  • Salt – 1/2 tsp.
  • Butter – 1/2 cup (1 stick)
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Pie Filling – 21 oz. can or try my Apple Pie Filling

Topping:

  • Butter – 4 Tbls.
  • Brown Sugar – 4 Tbls.
  • Cinnamon – 1/2 tsp.
  • optional: Chopped Nuts – 1/2 cup

PreheatĀ oven to 400F.
Blend flour, sugar, baking powder, salt.
Cut in butter until mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
Add milk and stir just until blended; do not over mix.
Pour into greased 9×9 pan.
Spread filling over the batter.
Combine butter, sugar and cinnamon. Dot over the pie filling.
Top with nuts (optional).
Bake 40 minutes.
Serve warm.
